I just got the top score (again) in Wheel of Fortune. It's kind of cool ... the answer to the puzzle that got me the score I did was "Some Guys Have All the Luck" by Robert Palmer ;D

I've noticed on that one, you get more points for making extraneous moves. For example, if you move an ace on to a 2 on the board before moving it up to one of the tableaux, you get more points than you would moving it directly. Kinda silly...
Why would you wanna move an ace onto a two anyway? Anytime I see an ace, I automatically move it up to the tableaux, as you call it.

There's only one game that I hold the championship on...and I already mentioned it. I've been trying to get high scores in other games, but no such luck thus far. :-\\

It kinda sucks how, if you know the answer you can't just solve it straight away. That happened for quite a few of them. :-\\
The trick is to buy all your vowels before you spin. Then as the game gets going, if you know the answer, save all of the multiple letters for when you land on the high cash prizes. Very seldom, can you solve the puzzle though without hitting one bankrupt (it is possible to solve all three rounds without losing any cash at all)

Well, I hate to brag, but....
Frogger- 475, until you can advance to level 2 that score is maxxed out
Amira, 44, until the end game bug is fixed 44 is max.
Drag n Drop- 181 - 200 or slightly over is probably the human limit for this game
Asteroids Flash - 340600 - You will destroy your spacebar if you try to beat that score
Paul - 21475 - I tried to replicate this score and failed. The next non-me score is less than 4000. Give me some competition on this one guys and girls, it is a fun game.
Target Shoot - 415 - Tough game.
Collapse - 4565 - You'll need to chain at least 60 balls to top that one.
Copter - 1643 - Wow, this game is hard.
Champi - 55500 - Beatable if you have enough time and patience. If I had about 4 hours free I suppose I could crack 1 million.
R Snake- - 111 - Beatable if you are patient enough
Hexxagon - 53 - 58 (or possibly 78 assuming a bonus) is max, 53 was hard to get
Panic Room - 104 - This score is just waiting to go down.
If anyone wants hints on the games I have titles, let me know.

I'll brag about some of my top scores too ...
Asteroids (40560) - It's all about luck in this one
Chain Reaction (2671) - You can rig it so you can get a score of 2516 everytime, but I got my top score based on a random board
Diamond Chaser (131930) - Once you figure out the trick, you could play it endlessly without ever dying. Would be super boring though
Dolphin Dash (94092) - It's all based on luck with those two bonus point pills
Monster Hatch (2679) - You get bonus points for how much time is left on the clock
Ponx (21070) - Forget about the big matches. Just make small ones as fast as you can
Sk8 Prison (424) - In order to beat my score, you have to atleast jump over the first mine in Level 2, as that's where I died
Skiprock (96) - I ain't giving away the secret on this one :P
Tennis STE (79) - As long as you have good mouse control, it's not all that hard
Tetris (680041) - If you can't get mostly Tetrises, then there's no point in going on
Triathalon (1468560) - It all depends on how fast you can push 4 keys at once

Target Shoot - 415 - Tough game.
So I've noticed. It's all about luck, really. You need to get a lot of targets, but they turn up randomly. If you don't get a target within the first six seconds of the game, forget it. It's only thirty seconds in total...

As the Znax champion with 280,600 points I have a few pointers:
- Find the largest area as possible (given)
- Don't waste (too much) time trying to force a match (e.g. 3 of the four corners are red and the other is yellow)
- Instead try finding the next best match
- See if you can get a really large match when you start the game, if not you may want to restart
Hopefully I could maintain my record despite what I just said.

Yeah, that was you. Didn't mean to make it sound like 4000 was low. Here's some hints on Paul for getting a high(er) score:
1: Click the mouse a lot. If you hit the ice cream closer to Paul, you get many more points. I click sometimes 5 times per ice cream launch that comes my way.
2: When the guy comes at you with a shotgun, you need to click that mouse like crazy and move side to side. If you practice a lot you can knock out both shots without getting hit.
So I've noticed. It's all about luck, really. You need to get a lot of targets, but they turn up randomly. If you don't get a target within the first six seconds of the game, forget it. It's only thirty seconds in total...
To beat 415, yeah you'll need a good board, though nothing spectacular like Drag n Drop. The trick is to hits the targets while they are momentarily perfectly flat and facing you. This "stuns" them for a second and you can unload on it, getting major points. Practice reloading at opportune times, you don't want to have only one bullet left for a new target. Misses cost points.
I haven't quite given up on that one. Like you said, it's gonna take some time, but there's still room for improvement.
Well, on Champi 55500 is quite beatable, but unless someone gets over 800,000 I'll probably retake that title should it fall. I won't give out hints on this one though, sorry
I can't even equal my own top score (69) anymore, let alone surpass it.
The way I got 104 is a load of extra time icons. Apparently one of the things you juggle when it hits the top wall sems to spawn more extra time (the plus sign things) drops than any other. Which object it is I don't know. At no time did I have more than 6 things juggled though, so one doesn't need to have lightning fast reflexes to beat that score.
Here's a hint on Collapse: Look over the board before you start. You need at least one ball (preferably 3) of the color you want to 'chain' in each vertical column to have a shot at getting as many balls as possible. Once you figure out the trick getting 3500+ every game is fairly easy, though breaking 4500 is going to require a fairly even distribution of balls of the color you eventually 'chain' with.
I don't know the max score possible, but in theory one could break 10000.

Getting multiple cards in a row in greatly increases score. I would have broke 100k easy except I didn't realize the level I was on the wind was changing direction every shot.

It is easy to break 100k, but when the wind keeps changing on Level 5, it gets difficult to make the required 14 shots in the time given :o

Your score will stand for a while. I got my 250k by a miracle, level 3 that time (and level 4) had no wind. I figure that missing any card up through level 5 will kill any chance of topping 270k since misses cost about 20k in bonus point.
I actually missed like 8 cards in total in Rounds 1 and 2. I lucked out though as there was absolutely no wind on Level 5 and the first shot in Level 6 :o
EDIT: Just beat my old score with a new grand total of 292126. Probably not that high of a score as usually when I set scores that are seemingly unbeatable, they get beat by almost double :\'(

Well, the way I got to 58 was to spend all of my money on gunner guys at first, upgrade the wall and magazine size, and get some repair guys.
By level 18 (I think) tanks start appearing. By then you really need the sniper rifle and at least a 30 shot magazine so you can take them out 2 at a time before reloading.
By level 25 (at the latest) you need the rocket launcher and guys to man it.
By level 38, it is impossible to click the mouse to fire fast enough with one hand so I two handed it.
Also, one should have all of the upgrades by this level as tank come out roughly 4 a second!!
By level 50 it is pretty much surviving the level as my payroll was over 100k per round which doesn't leave much to buy new guys to increase repair rate or firepower. Tanks come out rougly 10 per second at this level. Each one requires about 6 shots with the rifle to take out.

Congratulations. Yeah, and now my 250k is like 4th. I'm going to try for about another hour to top 300k, if I can't your score will stand. Luck has a big factor though, to not get wind on level 5 is about the only way to top 250k.
I guarntee that 291k will neve be doubled barring a fluke of no wind and no misses through probably 11 levels.
BTW, the card must be in the hat before time expires or it doesn't count. >:(
300K is possible to get. I probably would have had it too... I had 1 shot left in Level 5, and it went in just at the buzzer (so to speak), so it didn't count and I had to settle for 292K >:(
I notice there is not that much time in Level 6. I think that whatever time you have left over in Level 5, is added to Level 6 cause I've noticed I never start with the same time in Level 6.

I noticed a few things, first of all that if you miss early you might as well restart the game 'cause you ain't breaking 300k. Two, high wind in level 3 and 4 increases the score per shot GREATLY. Three, about the time you can't mess around or you won't have any left in level 6. Fourth, and last:
318,107!
It'll probably fall but at least I got 300k. It took me about 90 minutes and 30 games to get that score. The wind was blowing hard in level 3 and 4 and didn't change much in 5 and 6. I almost made 7.
It took me about 90 minutes as well to get ...
321,701!
The first shot I missed was the 3rd last shot in Level 5. I came so close to making Level 7 ... i had 30 seconds and three shots left, but the wind came in, i lost focus and I blew it :\'(

Well, I've gotten used to the high and changing winds, it is the slight winds that throw me off.
Anyways....
339,125!
If you got 321 with that much time left in level 6 left but blew it I'm sure you can beat 339, 125.
I made level 7 just as time was about to expire in level 6. That extra 34 seconds gave me what I needed.
You won't sit out, hehe. You'll get like a 350, then I'll get a 355 and so on 'til one of us reaches 400k. ;)
I believe if you don't waste time and don't miss (and get high wind so the score is better) 400k is doable.
You raise my game Whistle Dog. :)
I don't think I will ever beat your score. Everytime I get to Level 6, I always make it to the last shot and miss :\'(

Whew! I saw on the main page that you posted here last, I figured you had beat my score again.
I'm kinda glad you didn't (tonight anyways) since I figure for me to best 339k would take 4 solid hours of play.
It is funny though, I wrote this a day or two before I got the 339k:
50. Red Ant 142055 Don't think I can beat 177466 but I'll try.
Yep, that is now the 50th place score on page 4. Every attempt I made yesterday to beat your 321 was over 200k.
I figure you already know this, but the way I gauge the wind is to measure by horzontal card distance from the hat and go from there, ie in a light left to right wind I'm slighty to the left of the hat (perhaps a 1/3 of the card) and just adjust from there. Once you know all of the wind speeds and how far to move the card left or right of the hat misses are uncommon.
I tried doing that with the wind, but it's quite difficult to master. I can usually tell by how fast the clouds are going, just how far I need to be from the hat. Luckily, the last few times I've played it, there has been absolutely no wind on Level 3, 4 or 5. But then of course I get too excited and end up missing real easy shots on Level 6 every friggin time :\'(
I figure if I can't beat ya, I'll atleast make it difficult for anyone else to get into the top 15 ;D
FWIW I tried Sk8 Prison, I only made it to the second platform. You score will never be beaten on that game
Sk8 Prison is somewhat easy once you get the hang of it. The top score I finally got in it was like the 200th time I'd played it. My other scores were so low, I didn't even bother to register them. I wanted it to appear as though I got a good score my first time, so others would play it and give me a challenge ;D
Subject: Re: Boast your (current or new) High Scores ...

With no wind, my card is perfectly aligned with the base of the hat.
With a slight wind I'm barely misaligned with the hat, maybe 1/3 a card's width off either way
A little more wind is half.
Strong wind I'm a full card's width off.
There are occasional freak gale-type winds where I have to go about a card and a half off center from the hat but they are fairly rare.
The trick is recognizing any left/right shifts when the hat moves fowards/backwards.
The other trick is that sometimes a hard wind will die down a bit but not change direction. THOSE are the shots I usually miss by not compensating.
If you master the wind your scores will easily top 350 since high wind shots at distance are worth about 4500 points whereas a no wind shot is like 600.
That score I set I missed a few cards in 4 and 6 and had max wind in 3, 4 and 5. The increased difficulty gave me bonuses that compensated for a "flippin frenzy" bonuses I missed.
As for the top 15, I think the lowest score on page one is roughly 270k, which is still a hell of a round. While not many people have played this game yet I suspect few to none will crack page 1, except for maybe Leet Master, La Roche or Henk.
Lol. The controls for that game are funky for me, if I recall the arrows keys, spacebar and CTRL are used. Awkwards.
BTW, you gonna try to top my Copter score?
PS: Can you see if Air Skating will load AND play for you? It loads for me but when I hit play I get a blank white screen. I want to beat Leet Master's score, especially since I'm the one who gave him the tip to get it.
yeah, Leet Master and La Roche always seem to provide ample challenge. I wouldn't be surprised if they get like 500,000 :o
Those distance shots really kill me. I can figure out the wind, but then when I get a distance shot, it gets real tricky
I could try and beat your Copter score, but it would probably take me all day. lol
Air Sk8ting works for me. I would attempt Leet Master's score, but I get too pissed off playing that game. LOL

I'm not going to try to beat either of those any time soon. So congrats on those. However,
I ganked it back. Considering the number of flat-out misses I had I think 40k is my upper limit on that one.
That didn't surprise me a bit. I only dethroned you by a narrow margin. I've tried it several times again, but I think 20k is about my limit, so apparently I'm out.
I tried two rounds of Card Toss, 288k was the best I could do, a far cry from 350k.
I tried to beat my Drag n Drop score, didn't even come close to 181. How I ever got that one I don't know.
Also, there are 2 other games like Aussie Santa. I hold both of those titles at the moment. The only reason my Keepy Uppy score was stopped at 246 is that my freakin' Internet idle warning notice flashed up. I think I could have easily exceeded 300 on that game.
Three games that I try to avoid at all cost. Way too frustrating for me!

When I saw that WD had gotten 30k, I was like what the hell? I know he couldn't possibly click 50% faster than I did when I set my 20k score. I can click the mouse nearly 500 times a minute. The secret to breaking 20k? Simple:
Follow the wheel around while you click. The colors are worth different points, stay in the highest point colors and don't miss. You'll need to be able to click the mouse a minimum of 440 times in one minute on the 80 score with no misses to break my 35k.
Easy. ;)

Easy for you ;D
The yellow part of the wheel appears to be worth more than the black part, but for some reason, when I click the black one only, I get a higher score, so now I am confused :D
Subject: Re: Boast your (current or new) High Scores ...
Written By: whistledog on 02/16/06 at 7:31 pm
Hmm, I hadn't noticed the yellow being a higher score. You may be missing the wheel altogther when trying for yellow.
The sections are worth 10-80 points each. Black was 70, blue was 80 for me every time. I stay at the trailing edge of black so all of my shots are 70-80 as opposed to staying in the blue where if I lag they go from 80-10 points.
Of course, if you stay in the black all the time you'll need to click over 500 times a minute to break 35k. :o
So, I pretty much stay in the blue.
I may try to break 40k tonight.
I'm never gonna make it to 35K. I surrender. I just don't have the energy to click the mouse so fast :\'(
I still have the top Copter and Bump Copter score ;)

Well, I barely topped your Card Shark score. I hate that damned game. My 60k score I pushed with a 2 on the final card! And I had to play it safe with my current high score on the second to last since a 7 came up.
This game makes my blood boil. I lost count of the number of times I had 5 or less showing, bet high and lost. The odds are like 13:1 on a 2 coming up under a 3 and yet on half the 3s I bet high on a 2 popped up.
About the money in the last round, you get it all it's just divided into 1/3rds, one third per tier.
I also had over 11k once going into the last round but blew it early on a 2 coming up under a 5. >:(

You just have to go through all 25 levels of the game, and you'll get as much chances as needed to progress to the next level, but you can't have a second try if you think your score isn't high enough.

Whistle Dog, try "Ball", see what you can do with that. I think I could get conceivably a 70 with a lucky board though with an average board 65 is probably it for me. Lucky as in sometimes the hole appears right next to the ball (or rarely right under it).
I gave Ball a try, and I don't have the skill for that one. Perhaps, I should give it a try once more

Barty EF my original high score was pathetic, though I didn't beat yours by much. The scoring is AFU in that game. I've gotten as many as 400 points for the first big stone pad bone drop, but even hitting the little ones dead center from max height sometimes gives less points than hitting a bigger one from mid-screen.
I just re-beat your Barty EF score by half. I didn't realize that if you miss one of the rocks, you lose points. Also, you can hit each stone more than once. IF you're lucky enough, you can hit the big stones up to 4 times

I see you didn't post a score in Ball - was it that bad?
Originally, I only got a 6 before I decided to just quit. 3 attempts later, I got 2nd place, then I tied your score, then I beat it with a top score of 60. It is a tough score to beat. In fact, I think it's impossible to beat. The less than half a second you get in the 61st level isn't even enough time to locate the ball :P

Well, I tied your 60 but no 61. If 61 is possible (and I still think it is) that will be the limit 'cause there is no way anyone is getting a 62. I only flubbed one ball on that 60 round though I had no "easy" shots.
I imagine if one was skilled enough you could roll the ball diagonally and take the shortest route, but one miss would negate any time saved. I didn't even wait for the ball to completely stop rolling before I changed direction.
My wrist is killing me though, I may take a few days off from gaming here. In the meantime, try to not gank all of my titles. Just play Card Toss for a week. ;) ;D
I'm thinking that the only way to get 61, was if the ball was right on the hole, which is possible, but the chance of getting a shot like that on the 61st hole is like a million to 1 ;D

If I can focus for 60 seonds I do believe (still) I can drop 61 balls on Ball.
I just gave Gold Miner a try. It is so very hard. I sure don't like those TNT kegs. I would have made it to Level 8, but thanks to the TNT, I was short a measly 100 bucks >:(

What the hell are those moving things? Cats? Groundhogs maybe? ;D
My guess is they are Gophers. They often get in the way. I suck so bad at that game. You know, I even tried placing a ruler against my screen in an attempt to perfectly align the claw with the gold. It doesn't work :\'(

I just took the top prize in Slingo Paradice, which co-incidentally is my third Slingo title ;D
It's all about luck in that game

I now have 30 in Slashing Pumpkins. Originally I thought this was a high score, but with the way the arcade works, just when you think you have a score no one will beat, someone eventually does usually by half :\'(

Jason, you crushed my score of 20 and unfortunately my computer
isn't fast enough to let me score more.I just can't drop the knives
any faster,oh well,on to a different game.
The trick isn't how fast you can drop them. What I do is stay in the middle and hit them one by one, but when a whole bunch of pumpkins come by, I try to time my drops while I move to the right quickly.

I tried your method but for some reason I just can't seem to drop
knives fast enough. When the group of 4 pumpkins go by I am able
to drop a knife in the first and last pumpkin no matter if I move or not.
It is almost as if the hand has to reload.Very frustrating
The ones where the pumpkins are grouped together in a bunch, it's impossible to get them all, but the ones where they are close together with a bit of space in betweem them, it's easy to hit them as you move your hand along

Once you get the hang of timing your shots in Slashing Pumpkins, your score will soar. It usually depends on how many pumpkins appear per level. I've had times where I hit every pumpkin, but don't even break 20.
I am determined to break 30. Everytime I come close, I usually hit 30 just under the wire

Damn, I thought my 19 was good. Oh well, I guess I can try to top 30-whatever you have now. :o
I can't get past 30. It all depends on ..
- how good of a game you get (sometimes the pumpkins come fast, other times, you eat up the clock waiting for them to come)
- how well you can time your drops when a whole group of pumpkins breeze by

That Jig Saw Monkey game is broken, I think. I finished that puzzle with like 40 seconds to spare, and when I was done, it said I had a score of 6750. When I went to submit the score, it told me that I only had a score of 2400.
What a bunch of bull.

Jig Saw Monkey is broken yes. No matter how fast you clear the board, or how high your score appears to be, you will still get a score of 2400 which is the maximum. There is another jig saw game in the arcade called Pisland. It's much better because the score you see is the score you get

In the last three days, I have captured 7 top scores ...
Match CH
Ultimate Ping
Zelda Ruppee
Paradise Island
3D Frogger
Top Banana
Nub
As well, I have also re-beat my old scores in Bug Patrol and Ultimate Billiards Challenge
With the exception of nub (which I believe I got the max score possible), I am sure all of these scores are beatable :\'(

Good job with nub Jason,I hate that game,I lost two lives when the game
was in frozen mode.
I lost a few lives that way too. The game only has like 7 levels. On the last two levels, stars appear on the platforms that disappear :o

Hmm, 3 more of my scores have fallen. However, I did set a pretty much impossible to beat score on Slingo 2-Hand (taken from you, heh heh):
376,275
That score was set by getting dealt 4 Aces on the 8-card hand, which scores higher due to difficulty. I'm not sure what a Royal Flush gives there but a straight flush I think is 75k.
I don't think I will be able to beat that score so easily :\'(
I did just beat your Clash n Slash, Field Goal and Flying Hero scores though :P
I actually beat your Flying Hero score by just 1 point ;D

I just beat my old bomby bomy score. The score I had as I died wasn't enough to beat my old score, but as I died, the last shot I made landed in the cup which got me over 10,000 and put me into first place (again) 8)

I also have the ultimate score in Top Banana that no one will ever beat
I also got the top scores in: Cat Bat, Cat Vac, Clash n Slash, Field Goal, Flying Hero, Tomb Digger, and Twin Sonice
Whew! After all those scores, I need a break ;D

I got 13,974 in 3D Frogger...got one hole in Level 4 (level 4 is hard). Though if I had more time I could probably do alot better. If you don't know the 'tricks' than it's hard to pass level 4.

Well, Demonic Defense has been owned:
1,967,980!
I would have made level 55 but a catapult that was indestructible appeared and slowly wore me down.
I learned how to click the mouse 6000 times a minute. ;)
^not, heh heh

I made a device that electronically clicks the mouse for me. It's capable of 6000 clicks per minute. ;D
Actually, I just figured out how to use the spells and upgrades.
U mean the spells actually work? Everytime I get the hammer or the axe, it just sits there spinning and doesn't even do hardly any damage

Got records for all the three Snake games last night. Hmmm still trying to beat Whistledog's record in Copter. The annoying thing is, I came ever so close in my early days of playing, but haven't been able to get close since then. I remember playing Copter during computing class in high school :) (must've been 2002) and my high score was about 3200 (everyone was obsessed with it). But for some reason I can't seem to pass 3000, even at least 200 tries! >:(.

I just got 2500 in Field Goal :o
That game is brutally tough. Several shots I made went through the field goal, yet it said No Good >:( >:( >:(
The trick is to figure out mathematically where you should be in relation to the power of the wind. But since I suck at math, Estimations will do me for now ;D
I also finally broke 100,000 on Twin Sonice (aka Twins on Ice) which was not easy. And finally, I got the top score in 1992 8)

29,928!

and now I have the top Kitten Cannon score. I vowed I wasn't gonna play KC again because I suck at it, but I thought i'd give it another attempt, and on my third try, BOOM! Top Score of 2,629 :o
I also got the top score in Squeaky. That one stage in Level 3 is like impossible. You have to jump over 2 bombs to get to the next platform :o
