So guys I'm in a gaming mood today and want your guys thoughts on this subject? This might have been already done before, but so be it. Which generation did you guys think was better and has left a more long lasting legacy on the gaming industry, the 3rd generation or the 4th generation? The only console I've really played from either gen was the SEGA genesis, and it was AWESOME. Overall the 3rd gen saved the industry after the crash, and 4th gen took it to a WHOLE NOTHER level imo. So I'm going with 4th gen.

I wish I could answer this topic, but I played both consoles after their relevance. I was born too late. They were great though.

I really enjoyed The Nintendo Entertainment System, that was one of my favorites.

I'm probably going to move this to the more than a decade thread!

The 4th generation was simply one of the best generations for video games. You had the Sega vs. Nintendo console war, the rise of 16-bit consoles, popularity of CD add-ons, awesome graphic chips, and very memorable PC games. It's what made the early and mid 90s amazing.
