Subject: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:44 p.m.

Okay, this is gonna take about 7-8 posts, so just read on and be patient....

Think of a number from 2 to 9.... Don't post it! Just think of it... Okay, got one?

Now, take the number you just thought of and multiply it by nine....

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:46 p.m.

You should now have a two digit number....

Now, take the two digits and add them together, which should now give you a one digit number...

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:47 p.m.

Okay? Now, take your one digit number and subtract five..., leaving you with yet another one digit number...

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:49 p.m.

Take that final number and match it with the corresponding letter of the alphabet, ie:

1 = A, 2 = B, 3 = C, 4 = D, 5 =E  etc. etc.

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:50 p.m.

Okay, got your letter?

Now, think of a country that begins with that letter.

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:51 p.m.

Got your country?

Okay, now take the last letter of that country and think of an animal that begins with that letter.

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:52 p.m.

Got the animal? (We are almost done now)

Take the last letter of the animal, and think of a fruit that begins with that letter.

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:53 p.m.

Okay, so now you should have a country, an animal and a fruit... Ready?

Subject: Re: for your amusement...

Written By: Zella on 11/02/02 at 06:54 p.m.

Unless you are one of the odd 5 percent, you should have.....

And there folks, is one of the odd five percent! ;D (don't feel bad, I had a koala in Denmark eating an apple -- but most of the people I tried it on ran true to form!)

That's what I had, CD. I must either be 5%, or odd.

I had something similar to that in one of my customer service classes. Everyone's answer was "An elephant in Denmark eating an orange" except for the person who thought Delaware was a country. ;D

I got it - I am a 95%er  :)

That's the one I always pull on people. If they do not specify this, I just go ahead and choose root two, or a number like that. No integer specified. I doubt the kids who pulled this one on me even know today what an integer is :o

If you choose a whole, positive, integer you will always have 9 as the one-digit number. I chose e and pi as my "numbers between 2 and 9" and both failed... In the case of "e," I got 1.464536456... and there's not corresponding letter for that :P

I am sure glad somebody always quotes him, or else I'd never see half the stuff before he deletes it... it must be that dreaded Adelie he fears.... ::)

So we stuff TB in the trunk.  He was almost Adelie but has fallen back to Little-Blue!

I'm sure lang wouldn't mind…

But I miss Mystery Woman and Banasy!  I heard Banasy was too busy at the library…

But don't forget about the iguana in Djibouti eating an apricot…

We are missing three of our best ladies! Banasy should be back soon, according to Mark. Lang I was in touch with and she is really busy right now. Anyone hear from M.W.? :(

I don't mean to break up your reminiscing about missing members of the "zone" but
I tried your game and I was too busy mentally juggling numbers to think of a "o" fruit name.
Must be the college education...lost all mundane food names to be replaced by other more mundane tidbits!
And here i am---laughing in a public computer room at school over the "threats" to stuff this person in a trunk and get away with it.
I tell you, I have to surf the games pages past 10 more often: The threads which aren't locked out are still going strong, And as Bugs Bunny would say to Gossamer>"...you meet such in--teresting people"  (and that's a compliment)

Someone revised this thread after a year and a half. And I thought that was verboten here. Or maybe I was thinking about that infernal "You Can't Do That on Television" thread that has all those mean people on it.

Yeah, that was really sad... aren't all those people virtually dead now...? :'(

Well, at least MW is. She's MIA. Trips Mom makes occasional visits here, and the others went over to other messageboards.:(
As for the YCDTOTV posters, they can all get slimed for all I care.
