Hi there Hawaiian Sweetness.
A chain is a game where the last letter/letters of a word go on to make the next set of letters.
A link is a game where word or words in the previous answer go to make the next set.
So, for the sake of example, lets take a song chain.
A chain to The Beach Boys' Good Vibrations, would be The Beach Boys' Surf's Up.
A link to The Beach Boys' Good Vibrations, would be The Beach Boys' Good Timin'.
A chain can use more than one of the last letters of the word at a time, and the link can use more than one word at a time.
I hope this helps (despite my fixation to wish to use Beach Boys songs to illustrate!)

Don't forget to tell her that a link doesn't have to be automatically linked to words. It could be a link in association or meaning too.
Example: a link for Los Angeles by X would be California by Wax.
A link to The Bugs Bunny theme would be White Rabbit.
A link is a game where word or words in the previous answer go to make the next set.
A link to The Beach Boys' Good Vibrations, would be The Beach Boys' Good Timin'.

Judging by the Show the last posts of this person Bobo last posted here just before I started here full-time, from Shrewsbury too.

Only the admins/moderators of a board have the power to make it a sticky thread. If I were a single-board mod, I certainly would.
But I'm not.
