There was one place I used to hang out at, when I was young, called "Stargate".
They had the BEST 1980s games, a couple foosball tables, a snack bar, and they were always showing '80s films!

Hey, if anyone wants a time-trip back to the '80s, come to my place!
I'll supply the tunes and drinks, if someone will bring the cheese 'n pretzels!

Anyone can build a MAME cabinet for around $100-500 (depending on how much wood you have laying around, or if there's a scrapped arcade machine you can get your hands on, or how many old monitors and computers you have in your basement).

The more time I spend gaming, the closer I get to Nerdvana. Having an arcade in your basement won't make you as lonely as you might have been in the 80s... but it can sure help!

That would be kinda cool, make my own arcade in the basement. Maybe install some cool neon lights and have a jukebox in the corner...

The only time I ever get to feeling like back in the "good old days" is when I get to go to the Pinball Tournaments they have in the fall in Pittsburgh. I walk into one of those with about 20 machines all waiting for me to play them and I'm in heaven. lol

Yeah I remember those days. I think there was a movie or something about a video game tournament starring Matthew Leboitruex or however you spell his name. I can't remember what it was called though.

I'd like to go back to the 70s when I was 10 years old or younger and I LOVED to dance and was not a bit self-concious about doing so in public. lol
