Whenever I post something, my browser takes me back to the board, rather than to the thread I just posted in so I can see it.
Is that how it's suppose to work?

There is a checkbox within one of your profile settings where you can change that

There is a checkbox within one of your profile settings where you can change that
FB ;)
under Profile, click on Additional Preferences
look for "turn to topics after posting by default."
If you want to do it on individual posts, you can also click additional options and check "Return to this topic"

It's easier to check the box saying return to topics by default!
