This diffenetly puts plans for the up and coming Law and Order spin off on hold. Det. Lennie Briscoe was one of my favorite charecters on the show. Rest In Peace, Jerry.

I heard about that on the news and all I could say was "That sucks!".
My grandmother really likes the L&O franchise of shows and I watch the show with her every so often.

I was so looking forward to his new show.  This is awful, I liked him, above and beyond Law and Order.
As for that, I haven't any reason to watch it anymore, (vincent d'onofrio....I mean really?) :\'(

So long Jerry Orbach, I'm gonna miss you.

Detective Briscoe was all-time favorite TV detective.  Orbach brought a kind of depth and authenticity to the character, as well as a quirky sense of humor.  My favorite Law & Order episodes are the ones with Detective Briscoe, and Sam Waterston as the Assistant D.A.

Jerry's dead?  That bites.  :\'(

I always looked forward to his wisecracks on L&O.

I knew he had prostate cancer but I didn't know he was in that bad of health...  :-\\

RIP Jerry.  You did it right...  :)

That being a reference to Disney's "Beauty and The Beast", which Orbach voiced the candle holder.

And we can't forget his Broadway work, either.

True, I didn't even like B&TB or Dirty Dancing, but I liked him. My sister once met Jerry on the street in New York! Maybe he was headed for a L&O location shoot, I don't know. Anyway, I'm glad he'll be most remembered for playing Det. Briscoe, as well as his other famous roles. Au Revoir, Lumiere.

Your Pal,
Doc
