Renaldo "Obie" Benson of The Four Tops has died. This is conformed by the A.P. and Wikipedia.org. This day July 1, 2005 can really be remembered as an end of an era, they will be missed.

A truly classic group...although unfairly concentrated on Levi Stubbs' wonderful voice, each man was equal in the group - which is why no member became a 'focal' member (unlike The Miracles or The Supremes)...
A very sad event which really must mark the end for the group now...
And Mark? You seem to have put a picture of Marvin Gaye in your post...

I heard about Renaldo's death at the same time as Luther's. Renaldo was only 69...still kinda young compared to many folks who've gone. :(

Levi Stubbs is also in bad condition.He's been in bad health for about 2 years now. :(
