This is very sad. Looks like his early drug addicitions finally caught up to him. I first notice him in "H.R. Pufinstuff" and didn't see him in "Oliver" but I did see the 70s film "Melody", where he was reunited with his "Oliver" co-star Mark Lester. He will be sorely missed by those fans who grew up with him. :\'(

I saw him in interview just before christmas when they did a programme about Oliver. He was very anxious about other young actors not going down the same route as him. It's sad, 53 is no age at all.

I saw Oliver on video when I was younger and I quite liked it even though before actually seeing the video, I never wanted to see it!
So sad that Jack died :\'(
