Subject: Trumpeter Maynard Ferguson dies at age 78

This Montreal native worked in his youth with some of the defining voices of jazz, Duke Ellington, Dizzie Gillespie, Arturos Sandoval, Count Basie, Jimmy Dorsey, among others. Ferguson toured the world several times over and made of 60 albums, and had performance dates still on his calendar when he passed away of major organ failure on August 23, 2006.
