Subject: Gerald Levert has died!

Written By: Tanya1976 on 11/10/06 at 6:11 pm

R&B powerhouse Gerald Levert has apparently died of an heart attack in his sleep at home today. He was 40. Along with songs like "Cassanova" and "Father and Son" with his father, legend Eddie Levert of the O'Jays. This is another complete shock, particularly to the music world.

How sad. I loved his voice. When Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill and Gerald Levert teamed up for LSG.. I was so happy to hear those guys again.  I loved all of them back in the 80's. This is so heartbreaking. He had 4 children and he was only a year older than me. :(

Man, this is a shocker.  I always liked his songs.  I have 'Cassanova' on 45

R.I.P. Mr. Levert.  You put out some great music.  You will be missed  :\'(

As much as I feel his family is devastated, Papa Levert must be really feeling it.

Only 40?? :o :\'( That is awfully young to die. :\'( :(

Yes, I've heard his late 80's song "Casanova", which he recorded under his last name.

What a shocker.

yeah my mom's kinda torn up about Levert, she really liked him. It's just bugging me out how young he was and how celebs always seem to pass away in groups.
