Subject: World Cup winner Alan Ball dies at 61

World Cup winner Alan Ball has died of a heart attack at the age of 61.

Ball was the youngest member of the England side that won the World Cup in 1966 and went on to win 72 caps.

I was really sad to hear of this when I found out on monday watching the premier league football highlights on TV here.

When I read his obituary last night, I was just amazed at how well loved he was by everyone that knew him.

The description of him given during the cup final victory was also amazing.

RIP Alan Ball.

Today sees his funeral service at Winchester Cathedral, it will be a very sad ocassion.
