An American opera singer has died eight days after apparently trying to take his own life by shooting himself with an air rifle, his family have said.

I wasn't familiar with Hadley, except for hearing of his work with Bernstein (Candide) toward the end of Bernstein's life.
I'm sorry for the loss to his family and to the musical community.
