Written By: Bobo on 08/06/08 at 7:53 pm

Reg Lindsay, famous as an Australian country singer, virtuosic at the banjo, fiddle, guitar and mouth organ, died on August 5th aged 79.

Lindsay's most famous song, "Armstrong", was written by recently deceased Kingston Trio member John Stewart, while Lindsay also recorded and made moderately famous another of Stewart's tracks, "July You're a Woman". Ironically, August 5th is also the birthday of Neil Armstrong.
