Subject: Kenny MacLean, bassist for Platinum Blonde

Written By: whistledog on 11/25/08 at 9:36 pm

Kenny MacLean, who gained fame in the 80s as the bassist for the Canadian new wave group Platinun Blonde, has passed away at the age of 52 ...

Anyone from Canada who grew up or was around in the 80s listened to Platinun Blonde, either voluntarily or unvoluntary.  They were Canada's answer to Duran Duran and they were awesome.  R.I.P. to a great singer and musician.  His music was a big part of my childhood and I will miss him terribly :\'(

Platinum Blonde were originally a trio.  MacLean joined for their second album, first appearing on 'Crying Over You'
