He was perhaps best known for his 1964 hit 'Unless You Care' which became a hit in both the US and Canada.

In Canada, he furthered his success with more hits such as 'Only Sixteen', 'Rainbow' and 'Poor Little Fool'.  In the 70s, he and his then wife Laurel Ward recorded under the name Black and Ward and in 1970, scored a US hit with the single 'Goin' Down (the Road to L.A.)'.  Further hits such as 'Love is A Feeling' and 'Back Up (Against Your Persuasion)' continued Black and Ward's success in Canada throughout the 70s.  In 1972, as a member of the act Dr. Music (along with his wife), he also had a popular hit in Canada with the single 'Sun Goes By'

R.I.P. Terry.  You were a great singer with many great songs.  May your music live on!
