In a cruel case of either irony or coincidence, British entrepreneur/philanthropist James Heselden passed away today. Apparently he was piloting his Seqway machine when it took him off a 30-foot cliff and into a river in Northern England. :\'(

Truth be told, this wasn't so much irony as an experiment gone bad. Seems he was probably testing a new off-road model Segway, and apparently it worked a little too well. Our thoughts are with his family tonight.

Heselden sounds like a decent guy, so it's very sad.
