Jamaican born Canadian entertainer Denis Simpson has passed away at the age of 59.
He was a founding member of the vocal group The Nylons (leaving before they became famous), but was perhaps best known across Canada as a long time host of the children's show 'The Polka Dot Door' in the 80's as well as a recurring player on the 90's game show 'Acting Crazy'. He was the brother of actress Gloria Reuben.

Oh sure, I remember The Nylons. I had a Nylons tape.
"The Nylons" and "The Bobs" were "New Wave a Capella."
Sorry to see Simpson go.

I remember this band a lot, and it's still one of my favorite bands, from the 80's.
Listening to Kiss Him Goodbye, right now, and it's still a good song.
