I just found out that Bobby Farrell, lead 'singer' of Boney M, died today in a hotel room in Dusseldorf, Germany.
I'm saddened and shocked by his death. :\'(

We were only watching the Boney M video for Mary's Boy Child just the other day.

Of course, Mr Farrell didn't really contribute anything to the world of music. He wasn't a singer - he was a dancer and a great mime. Well, maybe not so great a mime, come to think of it.
Still, I can't help but feeling sad.
MTA: I misread the original news article. He was found dead in a hotel room in St Petersburg, not Dusseldorf.

This is very sad news. Boney M were awesome, and he was a great talent.
Their 1979 hit 'Gotta Go Home' was recently sampled in the super smash club hit 'Barbra Streisand' by Duck Sauce, which means the music of Boney M still lives on.
Oh dose Russians. We will never forget you Bobby!
