Dutch U.S. baseball player Gregory Halman has been stabbed to death in Rotterdam.

The Seattle Mariners outfield, 24, was killed today according to Dutch channel NOS-TV, which said the player's family had confirmed the report.
Gregory Halman played 44 MLB games for the Mariners since his debut on September 24, 2010. His brother Jason has been brought in for questioning by the Dutch authorities.

A news article said he was born in Harlem.  I wonder how he ended up in the Netherlands? ???

He is from the Netherlands, born and raised, and was back visiting his family.  As Henk said Haarlem, not Harlem.  On a side note, why, even if he wasn't from there, shouldn't he be there.

This is all very confusing. I thought he was Dutch.
