British character actor Ian Ambercrombie passed away Thursday in Los Angeles from kidney failure.  He was 77 years old.

Amongst his many roles over the years, perhaps his most famous one was as "Mr. Pitt", the eccentric boss of Elaine Benes on the hit comedy series, "Seinfeld".

Here's a pic of Mr. Pitt eating a Snickers Bar with a knife and fork.

RIP, Mr. Ambercrombie.  Thanks for all the laughs.  :)

Very sad to hear about the passing of another Seinfeld guest. And the guy that played George's last boss is critical after trying to commit suicide. :(

Yes.  The "Seinfeld Curse" did not just apply to TV ratings of projects launched by the cast after the end of Seinfeld's run.

After the show went out of production many of the cast have deceased:

Len Lesser, who played Jerry's Uncle Leo
Phil Bruns, who first played Jerry's father
Barney Martin, the gent who played Jerry's father the most
Frances Bay, who played the "marble rye lady"
Ruth Cohen, the lady who was always at Monk's Cafe
Gordon Jump, who played Mr. Thomassoulo

Fortunately we still have George, Elaine, Cosmo, and Jerry, along with Mrs. Seinfeld, the Costanzas, and Puddy.

Lately I've been eating a donut with a knife and fork.
