My first introduction to Ray Bradbury was in 7th grade reading class. We read a story called "They Were Dark And Golden Eyed." I later learned it was part of the Martian Chronicles.

With all of his accomplishments, most people don't realize that he also wrote the screenplay to Moby Dick-the Gregory Peck version.

I don't usually get into Sci-Fi but I have always loved Ray Bradbury.

This is a man who has been around the block a few times and we could see that he was charmed by the whole thing. And who wouldn’t be? How many authors of his stature get to see young women frolicking in a girl’s school singing that tune? Not appropriate for the workplace, you can watch what we watched at...

(Link goes to Rachel Bloom's 2010 NSFW-audio tribute to Ray "The Greatest Sci-Fi Writer In History" Bradbury.  What would this board be without links to pop music tributes? :)

RIP, Mr. Bradbury.  Thank you for inspiring not just one (my parents'), nor two (mine), but apparently three (Ms. Bloom's) generations of science fiction fans.
