Written By: Philip Eno on 03/22/14 at 1:30 pm

The renowned former boxing promoter and manager Mickey Duff has died aged 84. Duff worked with 16 world champions and many world-class British fighters, including Frank Bruno, Joe Calzaghe, John Conthe and Lloyd Honeyghan. Born Monek Prager in Krakow, Poland, Duff had a four-year career as a boxer in 1940s England, later rising to prominence as a manager and promoter. He left boxing in 1999, having vowed to retire if Billy Schwer failed to win the WBC world lightweight title.
