Subject: 60's Aussie Rocker Jim Keays dies

Written By: holicman on 06/16/14 at 2:47 am

From an Aussie rock band from the 60's the Masters Apprentices, Jim keays was the lead singer for this band, he sadly lost his battle with cancer aged 67 on Friday........ I saw him perform about 12 years ago and he was extremely entertaining, i remember one of his lines ...... "back in the 60's I was tripping on acid, nowadays im Just tripping on carpet........" I had a cigarette with him and talked about his career, he was an awesome bloke to chat with.... Loved his music too.

Most popular song was called "because I love you, its actually more of a rock ballad than the name suggests.

RIP Jim Keays.
