Wayne Static, legendary front man for the industrial metal band "Static-X", has passed away at the age of 48.

Static formed his namesake band in 1994, releasing debut album Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999; the album went platinum.

Did a hell of a cover of Ministry's Burning Inside too. Granted, that was with Tony Campos (former Ministry guitarist) as part of Static-X, but yeah. Then again, there's something to be said for going quietly in one's sleep, rather than screaming in terror like one's passengers. RIP, Mr. Static. And thanks for the music.

TMZ reports that the coroner's findings are in.
Wayne suffered from an accidental overdose of Alcohol, Xanax, and Oxy. This is all a surprise because at the time of his death, his wife said that he was not abusing drugs.

In the article it said he did so to relieve panic attacks. It's too common for musicians to have substance problems.
Static X was one of my favorites and I wish I could have seen them live in the past, but most bands don't replace singers. :\'(
