'Big Bang Theory' actress Carol Ann Susi dies

"On the "The Big Bang Theory," she wasn't seen on camera as the mother of Simon Helberg's character, Howard, but her character's loud voice with a Brooklyn accent was instantly recognizable."

Sadly, she's been in the business over 20 years, appearing on shows from Doogie Howser, M.D. and Seinfeld to Six Feet Under and Grey's Anatomy. Hopefully, the Jewish-mother-from-Hell voice of Mrs. Wolowitz will not be all she's remembered for. I can only speculate that the cancer did that to her voice. All Big Bang fans will miss her, although our ears will be very much relieved. RIP, Carol Ann.
