Minnesota Timberwolves coach and GM Flip Saunders died on October 25 of Hodgkin's lymphoma. He had a nearly 30-year career coaching the Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards. He return to Minnesota as a general manager and later as coach for the second time. although his coaching Record was not that impressive, he was well-respected by the NBA, its players and fans
