Subject: The Waltons creator Earl Hamner, Jr. Dies At 92

One of the most influential writers/creators in television in the 70s, Earl Hamner, Jr. died Thursday. He was best known for the rural America drama, The Walton's, which was set in the 1930s. The phrase "Goodnight, John-Boy", became one of the most popular catchphrases in the 70s. Mr. Hamner will be greatly missed.
