Garry Marshall, the legendary actor, writer, and director on the big screen as well as TV, has passed away at the age of 81. His work spans more than 50 years, with fare as diverse as The Dick Van Dyke Show, Laverne & Shirley, Nothing in Common, and of course Happy Days.

Reports indicate that he died from complications of a recent stroke.  :-\\

Welp, that's sad news for my parents. Even though my mom is more of a Happy Days fan than my dad.

Oh no! I liked him best as Satan on Hocus Pocus. He was great. 😔

I will miss his directing style, so evident in classic films like Overboard, Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, and Valentine's Day. Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway(The Princess Diaries) basically owe him their whole careers. Hollywood needs another comedic filmmaker like Garry, and fast. We've lost another great one.
