Robert Vaughn, who played Napoleon Solo on the 60s spy drama "The Man From UNCLE", died Friday after a brief bout with leukemia. He was 83. After his series ended,he mostly played villians. His big screen roles included the mayor in " The Towering Inferno" and the evil CEO in "Black Moon Rising". Many younger viewers may remember him as the spokesman for Keller and Keller and other law firm agencies.

Another actor from my youth gone.

Also, more recently appeared as grifter and card sharp Albert Stroller, Vaughn appeared in all but one of the 48 episodes of the British television drama series Hustle (2004–2012).

R.I.P. Robert Vaughn

His finest work was probably during his stint on The A-Team.

The saddest part is, Robert was the last of the original "Magnificent Seven" to ride off into the sunset.
RIP, Mr. Vaughn.

Your Pal,
Doc
