The term "Legendary" is thrown around on this board prolificly, but in the case of George "the Animal" Steele it is real. George was a legend in studio wrestling. George passed away today at the age of 79.

Born William James Myers, a Michigan high school coach who possessed a Master's degree from Central Michigan University, "Steele" made a career in the wrestling ring portraying a simpleton, animalistic, fighter who spoke in grunts and who had a penchant for chewing on the ring's turnbuckles.  ;D

Steele was a distinguished high school coach and he was inducted into the Michigan High School Coach's Hall of Fame.  8)
