Legendary Rick James protégé Charley Murphy, brother of comedian Eddie Murphy, has passed away from leukemia.

Charley came into vogue when he told his tales about hanging with Rick's crew, and playing basketball against Prince.
On one occasion Charley had to put Rick in his place, and kicked the crap out of him. Rick then offered Charley a peace offering in the form of a huge spliff. "The stickiest of the icky." ;D

Sweet merciful Jesus. I just watched that episode of Chapelle's Show where Charley Murphy reenacted his meetings with Rick James. That was some of the funniest stuff I've ever watched. :\'(
