Subject: Adam West, legendary actor, died at 88

Written By: Sir Rothchild on 06/10/17 at 11:37 am

Adam West, famous for playing Batman in the famous 1966 Batman TV show, along with being Mayor Adam West in Family Guy, has died yesterday after a battle of leukemia at age 88. He has given us our childhood for many years, including me, my mother and my uncle.

I used to love him as the mayor in Family Guy. His scenes were always hysterical in the show. Here was my favorite.

This movie was his last project, it came out in October of last year

It was a good animated movie based off of the 1966 Batman series that he starred in. I would recommend you all to check it out if you haven't already. Burt Ward returned to voice Robin and Julie Newmar returned to voice Catwoman. There was a sequel planned with William Shatner voicing Two-Face but with Adam's death...that sequel will probably be canned.

That use to be one of my favorite shows as a kid. Now about everyone on their except for Burt Ward and Julie Newmar are gone. RIP, the real Batman.

Wow. And after James Comey testified. Feels like an alternate ending to Batman Returns. :(

Adam West was my first Batman, via reruns around the same time as Keaton. My definitive Batman is of the darker variety (Keaton, TAS, Bale), but I will always have a soft spot for Mr. West's take on the character.

Need to find the time to watch an episode on Blu-ray in his honor. Can't remember the last episode I watched, but I'm in the middle of season 2.

RIP Batman

Not only was Adam West the best Batman, he also seemed like a really cool, fun-loving guy.

Maybe it's because I'm younger but Adam West was not the best Batman, IMO. I respect Adam West's version of the Caped Crusader and appreciate the show's iconic status but his version of Batman was way too goofy and campy.

The best live action Batman is Michael Keaton from Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992).

The best animated Batman is Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995), The New Batman Adventures (1997-1999), Batman Beyond (1999-2001), Justice League (2001-2004), Justice League Unlimited (2004-2006), etc).
