Legendary country singer and songwriter Mel Tillis has passed away at the age of 85 from complications from surgery for diverticulitis (which surgery was performed way back in January). :\'(

Dude was huge. His career stared way back in 1958 and continued right up to the end. His hits are to numerous to mention, and that does not even include the many songs he wrote for other performers.
