Mitch Margo, an original member of The Tokens, best known for their timeless hit "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," has died. He was 70. Other (minor) hits included "Tonight I Fell in Love," "I Hear Trumpets Blow" and "Portrait of My Love."
He also created artwork and animation, which has been seen in galleries. His work has, naturally, appeared on album covers.
