Subject: Wah Wah Watson' Last Encore Completed

Written By: LyricBoy on 10/26/18 at 5:31 am

You may not know the name but the music of Wah Wah Watson (birth name Melvin Ragin), who has passed away, is iconic. He got his stage name due to his adeptness at the "wah wah" pedal.

While he was a member of the group The Funk Brothers, he also had a side gig doing session work for all sorts of acts, including The Temptations. It was Wah Wah who did all that funky guitar work on the classic Papa Was a Rolling Stone.  8)

Here's a video showing his awesome string mastery...

He also played session for groups including The Jackson Five, The Four Tops, Rose Royce ("Car Wash"), Gladys Knight & The Pimps, The Supremes, Herbie Hancock, and even Blondie.  8)
