Formerly ranked light heavyweight Argentine boxer Mário Melo, who battled Michael Moorer, unsuccessfully, for the WBA title back in 1980, has passed away at the young age of 56 in Buenos Aires. :\'(

Melo was participating in a croissant eating contest, and choked to death on his third croissant. :-\\

I checked all the news accounts and they don't say anything about a charity involved. :-\\
