Subject: Herb Kelleher's Final Flight... As Always, no Baggage Fees

Written By: LyricBoy on 01/04/19 at 5:31 am

Legendary airline industry pioneer Herb Kelleher, founder of the fun-based Southwest Airlines, has departed at the age of 87.  No cause of death has been mentioned in the news accounts.

Herb bucked the big corporations, and fought all the way to the SCOTUS to get his upstart airline launched back in the days of heavy airline commercial regulation. After winning in court, Herb took to the skies with a formula that included fun times, cheap fares, and hot looking stewardesses in short shorts.  :)

Eventually Southwest, despite being "the cheap seats" became the most financially strong airline in the biz.  8)
