Peter Mayhew, the actor who played the role of Chewbacca in the Star Wars franchise, has passed away at the age of 74. :\'(

The death, which occurred on April 30th, was just announced today.

I only saw th very first Star Wars, so i could not post a spoiler if I even wanted to. :-[

For all the other Star Wars films, it is technically the first "A New Hope" I can only remember of the film franchise.
