Written By: LyricBoy on 05/08/19 at 5:13 am

Longtime Harlem Globetrotter “Jumpin’” Jackie Jackson has passed away at the age of 79, of unspecified natural causes.  :\'(  As a Globetrotter he was a consummate performer, and the basketball court was his stage.  :)

Jackie got his nickname because legend had it that as a kid, he could jump so high, he could pick up a quarter that was placed on the top of a basketball backboard.  :o

Before he spent 20 years playing for the Globetrotters, he was renownd for being able to dunk over Wilt Chamberlain in the famed Rucker Park Tournaments. In high school, he played alongside b-ball legends Connie Hawkins and Lenny Wilkens.  8)
