Celebrated baseball player and author Jim Bouton has passed away at the age of 80, from cerebral amyloid angiopathy.  :\'(

Back in ‘71, he rocked the baseball world with his bestselling book about life in baseball, Ball Four. The book chronicled the exploits of him while he pitched for the storied Seattle Pilots major league baseball team. His book was a shocking account of drug usage and womanizing amongst baseball players and earned him the contempt of people who wanted to maintain the fantasy of what a pro baller was like. He called it as he saw it.  8)
