RIP to a Democratic firebrand for the last several decades. Elijah Cummings had been an advocate for Civil Rights since the 1960s. He was a prominent US Congressman, representing the majority black district in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Cummings even rose into becoming the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, which has been key in the current impeachment inquiry against the President.
