Subject: Louis Eppolito Leaves This Thing of Ours

Written By: LyricBoy on 11/06/19 at 6:08 pm

Notorious former NYPD detective Louis Eppolito, who was convicted in 2006 for being a long-time mafia henchman/hit man, has passed away at the age of 71 in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

In addition to his career as a decorated cop, and hit man for mafia don “Gaspipe” Casso, Eppolito also performed small roles in movies including Lost Highway, Predator 2, Goodfellas, and Ruby.

He retired from the NYPD in 1990, after having been suspected of Mob ties, but was exonerated at the time. But eventually other mob rats informants ratted him out testified against him, and his goose was cooked, sentenced to life in the federal slam. At one time he was even trying to murder “Junior Gotti”.  :o

Louis was not fond of informants. One time he murdered a suspected informant and, as if that was not enough, he stuffed a canary down the dude’s throat to send a message to any other people who were thinking of ratting out his buddies. But... in the end... it was his buddies (including Pipe) who ratted him out.
