Celebrated rapper Pop Smoke (real name Bashar Jackson) was brazenly murdered when four assailants broke into The Beverly Hills crib where he was staying, and shot him. :\'(

The 20-year-old rising rapper posted a video of himself opening gift bags with tags that displayed the address of the home where he was staying, to his Facebook story Tuesday night — leading some to speculate as to whether or not the killer used the post to scope out his location. :o
Just this month, he released his second mixtape Meet the Woo 2, containing features from Quavo, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Fivio Foreign and Lil Tjay.

Apparently the NYPD advised the LAPD that Smoke had extensive gang affiliations on the East Coast. The going theory right now is that this was not a simple robbery but some sort of gang related beef. :-\\

The adult suspected perpetrator of Pop’s murder will not face the death penalty and only faces LWOP as punishment. >:(

In other developments the prosecutor also refuses to take the case involving the three minors in this case to adult court. >:(
With wimps like this prosecutor, no wonder California has turned into a sewer.

Unfortunately since the perp was 15 at the time of the murder, he can only be kept in the slam until he’s 25 according to state law, since the prosecutor did not have the fortitude to charge the perps as adults. >:(

News reports indicate that a dead body found in a barrel in Malibu might be a revenge killing for the murder of Pop Smoke. :o

The barrel, containing the naked body of Javonnta Murphy, washed ashore July 31. Javonnta is the brother of Jaquan Murphy ... one of the 5 people arrested in the wake of Pop Smoke's murder in 2020. Jacquard was cleared in Pop’s murder, but he is currently awaiting trial for an unrelated murder in L.A. County. :-\\
