The last of the silent film era stars, Ms. Cary appeared as Baby Peggy in nearly 150 silent shorts between 1921 and 1924.  :o

Her tale was that of the unfortunate child actor. In her heyday she was bringing in today[s equivalent of $1,000,000 a year. However, when her disciplinarian father quarreled one too many times with producers, Baby Peggy was blackballed in Hollywood. And by then, her parents had already blown her wad on cars and houses. Finally, a relative who was involved with her production company stole whatever money was left, leaving the family destitute.  :-\\

Baby Peggy is not to be confused with the actress Aunt Peg, whose real name was Juliet Anderson.
