Subject: Mort Drucker’s Final Satire

Written By: LyricBoy on 04/13/20 at 5:48 pm

Legendary is too weak of a word to describe satire cartoonist Mort Drucker, whose satirical parodies of movies and TV shows graced the pages of Mad Magazine for decades. He has passed away at the age of 91.  :\'(

It was said that an actor had not really “made it” until he was parodied by Mort in the pages of Mad.  8)

So powerful and memorable was his work, that nearly 50 years later, I remember his parody of the TV show My Three Sons, with one of the actors referred to as “Fred McMoron”.  ;D

Reportedly, that was Michael J. Fox on Carson.

Sad that most of the original Mad guys are dead. It'll be sad when Al Jaffee and Sergio Aragones go.
