Subject: Are you ready, Steve?

No cause of death. Andy Scott is now the sole surviving "core" member.

The Sweet is known for such 70s glam rock hits as "Love Is Like Oxygen," "Fox on the Run," "Hell Raiser," "Teenage Rampage," and "Ballroom Blitz."

So sad  :\'( :\'( :\'(

The Sweet are one of my teenage favourite bands, with distinct memories of "Ballroom Blitz" on Top of the Pops.

Yeah, it is good song.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Little Willy.  ;) :D ;D ;D

I think it was in 5th grade during recess, there were a whole bunch of us and we linked arms and walk all over the playground singing, "Little Willy, Willy, won't go home...."  :D ;D ;D ;D

Ballroom Blitz I didn’t care for much. But I enjoyed Little Willy, Love Is Like Oxygen, Fox On The Run. Very upbeat and melodic.

I know those two songs by them best.

Up till now, I never realised how big The Sweet were in the USA.

Being careful on how I Google this I wonder if the BBC banned "Little Willy"? It was not banned...

Regarding "Little Willy" From Wiki:
"In a retrospective review of glitter rock, Bomp! noted that although rock music journalists almost uniformly "loathed it", the song was a huge commercial success and "helped launch the essential glitter rock formula sound". "

Glam Rock was an awesome era. I’d like to see a comeback in the 2020s.  8)
