Subject: Breaking: Ennio Morricone dies at 91

Written By: ChrisBodilyTM on 07/06/20 at 2:44 am

So many classic scores. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, The Thing, The Hateful Eight, Cinema Paradiso, The Exorcist II: The Heretic, The Untouchables, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Once Upon a Time in the West, Days of Heaven, The Mission, Bugsy, The Professional, Days of Heaven, Navajo Joe.

Ennio was part of the Spaghetti Western Trifecta with Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood. He branched out of spaghetti Westerns and composed film scores as varied as The Untouchables and Cinema Paradiso to John Carpenter's The Thing.

He received an honorary Oscar in 2007, presented by Eastwood, and finally won one in 2016 for his chilling score to Quentin Tarantino's violent Western The Hateful Eight.

A huge loss. The end of an era. RIP Maestro.  :\'(
