Subject: Tim Bogert stops hangin' on

Rock legend Tim Bogert -- Vanilla Fudge; Cactus; Beck, Bogert & Appice -- has died. He was 76.

Originally named Pigeon (which was already taken), Vanilla Fudge combined popular hits such as "Ticket to Ride" and "You Keep Me Hangin' On" with heavy garage rock and psychedelia. And they were also the favorite band of Clarissa's father on Nickelodeon's Clarissa Explains It All.

Later, Bogert and drummer Carmine Appice formed a power trio with Jeff Beck.

Sorry to hear this. I saw Beck, Bogert & Appice live in 1972.
