Legendary Jamaican reggae virtuoso Bunny Wailer (real name Neville O'Riley Livingston), who co-founded The Wailers with Bob Marley, has passed away at the age of 73.  :\'(

Together, they achieved international fame with reggae classics like Simmer Down and Stir It Up, before Wailer left to go solo in 1974.  8)

With Bunny’s passing, this leaves only Beverley Kelso as the sole remaining original member of The Wailers.

Bob Marley (1981), Peter Tosh (1987), Junior Braithwaite (1999) and Cherry Smith (2008) have all passed on to that great recording studio in the sky.  :\'(

I had not realized that his stage name was the namesake for Bob Marley's band. (Actually, the bio says that he left the band in 1973 and adopted "Bunny" as a pseudo-first name.)
